I'd love to keep the auto window open after these commands to monitor what mode I'm in, preview or not, but if closing the window each time is the workaround, I can deal. Tried using the Cursor Return command after command 4 to close the automation window, but it's not going anywhere. Think I got it down mostly, but having trouble getting the mouse to return to previous location. I'd love to be able to LOCK a fader to a track like on an Avid surface, but still bank around the other tracks in either the edit or mix windows.įor the Batch Command stuff, I'm messing with the Preview and Punch Preview.

I'm not mixing alot, mostly editing but I do need some buttons and faders. Definitely like this surface, but on the fence of whether it's for me or not, compared to a simple Avid Artist control or similar. I probably have some more, but that's a good start of my issues. Raven is unresponsive and needs to be force quite/restarted. And seems that when the computer is idle for a good amount of time, displays go to sleep, etc. So I'm really just looking for that "focus fader".ĥ) Also noticed I lose some commands at times. I do utilize the edit selection follows track selection for the edit window though, this is very important for me.

I've set up some of the batch command windows to use the SOLO TRACK/ MUTE TRACK functions so I can easily bounce back and forth to compare production guide tracks, but while I'm editing, any track I edit becomes the selection on the mix window. Note I've tried just pushing on the Automation windows themselves trying for a touch screen action, but they're pretty small buttons so not quite accurate with touch.Ĥ) Is there a way to "focus" a fader/track and lock that fader in the mix window as the selection? Basically like the focus fader on an Icon. So, I'm wondering if there's a way to program these commands without mouse moves, like if I was using an Icon/Avid controller and it's just a button push/immediate action. I have it set to return to previous location for everything else and it's working there, just not after a command.

Other issue is the cursor then stays on the last location of it's action. I've tried having the automation window on both screens and sometimes it works, and sometimes the mouse moves to a certain spot elsewhere on the mixer and starts clicking on other features. It seems this has been programmed with a mouse move in batch commander, so my automation window needs to be open (which is not a problem), but the command seems to have a problem finding the window all the time to make the mouse clicks happen.

For instance I use Automation Preview and Punch Preview/Write to Selection CONSTANTLY. I also have a 3rd monitor for video.ģ) Having some issues with a few of the batch commands so far. I'd prefer if the imac could be main screen and Raven just a 2nd monitor and controller. 3.4Ghz i7, 16 GB RAM.ġ) That mix window "lock" feature would be huge if it gets figured out soon as losing the focus on the Raven anytime I make the edit window active is definitely quite annoying.Ģ) Is there a way to have the Raven NOT be the main monitor for the computer? Right now I'm working with the "displays have separate spaces" check marked, but that's not ideal for me. Working in Post mostly, doing Sound Effects editorial, so trackball and key commands are where my speed is. I'm on an Imac as my main edit window, Raven for me is strictly planned to be a control surface. Just testing this bad boy out and have a few workflow things to see if I can sort out.
